Kerala Higher Secondary Department, also Known as DHSE; was established in year 1990 by the government of Kerala. Kerala Government has decided to delink pre-degree courses from colleges to introduce 10+2 system in high school of Kerala.  Initially, Kerala pre-degree Course was begun in 31 selected Government High Schools in Kerala State and Kerala Higher secondary department has conducted various Higher Secondary exams (i.e. HSE/VHSE/DHSE) in Feb/March month of the year 2014.
