Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) Board of Secondary Education (JKBOSE) was established in 1975. This is the main board of school education in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir based in Srinagar and is under the administration of the state government of Jammu and Kashmir. The board runs more than 10,609 schools across the state and employs 22,300 teachers.

Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) State Board of School Education which is also known as JKBOSE in short is established in 1975. Normally Every year Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education conducts Secondary School Examination at early month of the particular year. Some students did not qualify for the exams and some got low/unsatisfied marks in their examination, so JKBOSE conducted its Class 12th Compartment/Supplementary Exam 2013 for these types of candidates so that they may get another chance for the re-selection.

So, JKBOSE conducted its Class 10th Compartment/Supplementary Exam 2013 for these types of candidates so that they may get another chance for the re-selection. Normally, Board conducts Annual Secondary School Examination in the month of February/March and Supplementary School Examination in the month of August/September on the basis of course/syllabus as prescribed by the state Government.
